Our Pet Care Services

   Give your dog a vacation while you enjoy yours! Our home based boarding service offers a safe, structured, and enriching environment where your pup is treated like family. As a professional trainer, Meg ensures each dog's stay is comfortable and tailored to their needs.

   Dog's spend their time in our founder's cozy home with access to a fully fenced yard. They are integrated with other dogs based on owner preference and a professional behavioral evaluation.

   Boarding dogs are treated like family and join us for off site adventures such as walks, hikes, and beach outings.  For added peace of mind all dogs wear GPS trackers, and our staff are Pet CPR and First Aid Certified.

   There are no additional fees for administering provided medications. Additionally, we welcome intact dogs of all ages including females in season.

   All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations. Discounts are available for additional dogs from the same household.

   Keep your pets happy and stress free in the comfort of their own home while you're away. Our Pet Sitting service provides care for all animals including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, reptiles, and farm animals.

   Each pet receives individualized attention based on their specific needs and owner instructions including feeding, playtime, mental enrichment, medication administration and any other additional special care. To maintain consistency and reduce stress, we follow the owner's household rules and strive to keep pets' routines as familiar as possible.

   Pet Sitting includes two drop in visits during the day along with overnight care for added supervision and companionship. Beyond caring for your pets, we are happy to help with small household tasks such as checking the mail, watering plants, and bringing in packages to keep your home running smoothly.

   For peace of mind our sitters are Pet CPR and First Aid certified, and there are no additional fees for administering provided medications.

   Perfect for busy individuals or pet owners who need assistance during the day, our Drop In Care service offers a flexible and customizable solution for your pet's needs. Whether you're traveling and don't need overnight care, working long hours or need extra help with puppies, senior pets, or high energy dog, we've got you covered!

   This service is completely customizable, allowing you to schedule visits for potty breaks, midday exercise, additional attention for pets needing medical care, or anything else in between!

   Our professional pet care providers will come to your home at the scheduled time, providing care for all types of pets including, but not limited to dogs, cats, reptiles and farm animals. Drop ins can be scheduled on an as needed basis or as a regular recurring service, ensuring your pet's care is consistent.

  The price of the service depends on the level of care required as well as the duration of the visit. Our team members are fully trained and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid to provide safe, reliable care to your pets.

   Perfect for dogs who need exercise and mental stimulation in a familiar environment, our Neighborhood Walk service allows your dog to enjoy a walk around your local neighborhood. One of our professional pet care providers will come to your home and take your dog(s) for a walk keeping them comfortable in their own surroundings.

   This service is designed for dogs of all temperaments including anxious, shy or reactive dogs. We can walk multiple dogs at once ensuring each receives the attention and exercise they need.

   Walks are available in 30, 45 or 60 minute durations and we adjust the pace to each dog's specific needs. Whether it's a leisurely stroll for a senior or a brisk walk for a high energy dog.

   For an additional fee, we offer training during the walk, specifically focusing on leash manners, engagement and recall to further set your dog up for success.

   For added safety and peace of mind, your pet will be equipped with a back up safety leash and tracking device before the walk begins. 

   For dogs who thrive in nature and need a more adventurous outing, our Adventure Walk takes your dog on a scenic hike in a local park or nature trail. One of our professional pet care providers will come to your home, pick up your dog(s) and transport them in crash tested crates to a nearby park for an easy hike.

   This service is designed for all dogs, but especially beneficial for fearful, anxious, low confidence and reactive dogs. Being in a natural non-manmade environment provides a soothing and enriching experience that can help ease anxiety to allow your dog to truly enjoy themselves.

   Since the walk includes roundtrip transportation, this service has a minimum duration of 60 minutes. Adventure Walks are offered seasonally on specific days of the week.

   For an additional fee, we can include training during the walk, focusing on leash walking, recall, engagement and trail manners. Safety is our top priority-- your dog will be equipped with a backup safety leash and a tracking device before heading out.

   At Rochester Dog Training & Pet Care, our owner Meg, an apprentice groomer, offers essential grooming services for your pets. Services include nail trims and grinds, baths, blowouts, brushing, and simple haircuts such as cleaning up the face, feet and sanitary areas.

   Our grooming service can be added to an already booked service or scheduled individually, allowing you flexibility based on your pet's needs. Nail trims are offered for dogs, cats, and small animals ensuring pets in your family are well cared for.

   For your convenience, certain services can be booked in your home while others are booked exclusively at Meg's home or at the professional salon in Penfield. Additionally, we offer transport to and from the grooming location, as needed, making the experience as easy and stress free on you as possible.
